Kastav

Kastav is situated on a hill 378 m high, in the immediate vicinity of the cities Rijeka and Opatija. The town has preserved an appearance of a typical medieval settlement on a hill: town loggia, the town gate Voltica and remains of walls and towers. Within a city centre there is the Holy Trinity Gothic Church, St. Jelena-Crusader Baroque Church and the ruins of the unfinished Jesuit Baroque Church (Crekvina), craft school, Ida's bakery, Viktor's Coopers Workshop, The museum collection of Kastav area, The reading room Kastav, Belica house, art studios, medieval stone streets, picturesque houses with elements of traditional architecture.

The town has one of the most beautiful views of the Kvarner Bay (islands of Cres and Krk), Opatija and Mountain Učka.
